New Year, New Mindset

Posted by:

Although you can start afresh and make changes at any moment you choose, the New Year tends to present itself as an obvious opportunity to take charge and give more focus to aspects of ourselves we haven’t been able to previously.

Everybody has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in one way or another and this has led to an increase in mental health issues.

In response to this, we are delighted to launch the Holistic Health Practice. Based in Newport, South Wales, the Practice – which offers both virtual and in-person sessions (although the latter depends on government restrictions) – aims to support you and your life. Services involve tailored therapies for your personality and needs, which in turn helps to build and support your innate coping strategies and your overall mental health.

Positive mental health helps us to enjoy life, have a good attitude and assists our overall wellbeing. Through the Holistic Health Practice, you will be given the tools you need to aid how you think, feel and behave. The therapies on offer are:

– Brainworking Recursive Therapy (Psychotherapy)

– Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy

– Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Techniques

– BodyTalk Energy Therapy

– Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

– Reiki

Over the last year we have all had to face an array of difficulties, whether it’s: being socially isolated, dealing with concerns about ourselves or those we care about, alterations to education and employment, gaining responsibilities, or changes to general life. As a result, we find our mental health has been put under mounting pressure in order to help us overcome these new circumstances and so, it is more important than ever that we do what we can to prioritise it and better support ourselves.

When built up, stress and worry can affect us mentally, emotionally and physically. It can encapsulate many things from anger, anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, fear and much more. Elements of stress can affect our life in all areas – work, relationships, social life, behaviour and even our physical health. It can take some time before we realise that stress has built to a point where it has become detrimental to our wellbeing and often the only time we assess a change has to be made is when we are pushed to decide ‘enough is enough’ and recognise ‘I need to stop doing this’.

It’s important to understand that your mindset is constantly on a sliding scale, and whether you feel you have positive or negative mental health, it is important you take regular time and effort to strengthen it.

The Holistic Health Practice is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and will work with you to help you to fulfil your potential in all areas of life.
